stills. feels like home.

1 // on top of the world.
2 // she loves things, clutter, pink. she is so very different from me yet exactly the same.
3 // blurry. 5:30 a.m. wake-ups and hot coffee. on the flip side of whinging about waking too early, if these are the best years of our lives, our kids are allowing us to savour many waking minutes of them.
4 // building a fire.
5 // my production line.
6 // homemade pizza.
7 // the sous chef hard at work.
8 // bounce.
9 // winter garden.
10 // more like it.
11 // and back to munching. cheese remnants on lips.
12 // early.
13 // planting. splitting. growing.
14 + 15 // my dress when i was the same size.
16 // new book club book (read it?) and the best man who makes me gf sandwiches while I play on this blog.
17 // home.

We have been looking around at bigger homes. To fit us better. More space to breathe and create and play. But at the same time, I have never felt more at home. It's not so much this home, the brick and mortar, but the skin I am in. The person I am. The person I am striving to be. I picked my camera up again this weekend. And took photograph after photograph. I am not talented at photography. But I am passionate. I love the story that can be told in a single moment. A snap. I feel at home when I am behind the lens. Looking from the outside. Deep into the inside. At home.
Hope you have a wonderful week. I will, it's the only time we get to have this week. So enjoy it.

  3. I love your stills, a mini-story in a mini-moment is huge. Funny thing though, I *just* commented over at Hannah's HB Adventure Blog about small house living. Great post she did there. Maybe you are right at home.

    1. yea! loved that post. but, am with her that the space i am in is not the right design. the layout is stifling for us-but could not agree more that tighter spaces make for tighter families! beautiful thanks G. xx
