dear sunday.

hey, sunday.
lean in here so I can tell you a little secret.
Closer,
closer...
THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!

Lazy, beer, wine, smiles, dogs, hockey, french cheeses, Australian fruits, dance offs, naps, heaven.
So dear Sunday, I'll order the same for next week.

busy times= fast food (our way)

my helper is doing the shopping this week. new trolley from free pile at weekend opshop. score a favourite toy 101.

baby potatoes spiked with a fork and then boiled with a handful of pepper corns, a few bay leaves and some olive oil. tossed with organic butter, salt and pepper. free range poached eggs. avocado and truss tomatoes.

our minute noodles: 1/2 tsp vegemite, 1 tsp butter, cook a 1/2 cup soup pasta, drain and toss, drizzle with grated cheese. serve with frozen corn and peas and leftover boiled potatoes (tomato sauce optional).

pesto pasta (quick due to pesto being pre-made and in ice cube trays), frozen corn and peas, 1/2 a vegemite scroll.

passionfruit. cut in half. spoon into mouth (mostly)

scrumptious sous chef.
bit of a theme in foods this week. hope your homes are gourmet and happy.

You know the expression 'busting my guts'?
'cause life is pretty much doing just that for me.
Working full time as a teacher of 5 & 6 year olds is exhausting at the best of times. Add to the mix a new puppy, a sleep regressed (who am I kidding, regressed refers to falling from a good place in the zzz world, we have not been there in 20 months) toddler and a volunteer firefighter who works double shifts at his job and spends his night off 'training' at the station...you get an exhausted and emotionally unstable me.
Tears, sulks, general grumps, sums up my day today.
I have been pulling it all off, on the good days I call it 'rhythm', on the bad 'the grind'. Either way life has gotten crazy busy. It is busting my guts.
Looking forward to a holiday.
In the meantime P makes me smile and remember to stop and smell the roses (lots of other smells in there too).

Even in the bust, life can be pretty sweet,
Hoping life is being kind and slow to others, I know my turn is around the bend again.
